So what are QR Codes?

QR codes are graphics that are becoming more and more popular in web marketing, print media and online. You will see them on leaflets, magazines and on all kinds of different merchandise. QR is short for Quick Response as the graphic can quickly be interpreted into a webpage or just general information about a company or product. The reason why they are more useful than a standard barcode is that they can store much more data, including URL links, geo coordinates, and text. The other key feature of QR Codes is that instead of requiring a chunky hand-held scanner to scan them, nearly all new mobile phones can scan the codes.
