What does web design actually cost?

What does website design actually cost?

I get asked this all the time and the answer is always the same: it really depends on what the website is going to do!

Every website design project is different. Us web designers and web developers, we don’t quote projects up per page any more, those are days of the long ago past. We have to quote based on how long things will take to implement and how much configuration there is. So what we need from clients is a proper, detailed project brief.

If you can tell us web designers what the website requirements are, and what you are trying to achieve, we’ll be happy to talk to you about your digital plan and help you to decide the must-haves on your site, and the nice-to-haves. Once we know these, then (and only then) can we start to think about giving you a quote for the project.

But what if I want as website designed that is really simple?

Simple sites are easier to quote, because the time that it takes to develop them will be less. But you have to remember, that each website is unique. It isn’t just the click of a button and it’s done. Each website is carefully designed, with content, your target audience and user experience in mind. Not to mention SEO and how easy it will be for you to update it using the website back-end if it is a CMS website like WordPress.

So to sum up there isn’t really an answer to how much web design costs.

If you really want to know how much your site will cost, I highly suggest that you do some initial research and map out the pages you’ll need, the rough content for each page and then get in touch so that we can discuss your project further.
